McMaster University Counselling Resources

  • The Student Wellness Centre remains open with medical appointments, video conferencing counselling sessions and group counselling sessions are available. Here is a resource from the Student Wellness Centre on supports: McMaster Student Wellness: Support During COVID-19.
  • For Undergraduate Students: MSU – RealCampus: Text 647-494-8383 or call 1-877-390-7325 (for online, phone, or in-person support through counselling or consultation).
  • For Graduate Students: GSA – EmpowerMe: 1-844-741-6389 (for online or phone life coaching).

Virtual Community Support Resources

  • McMaster Student Navigators: Navigators are available to connect via Zoom or WebEx with students from any faculty to help students who might be feeling lonely or isolated. They are best suited to try to help students problem solve and connect with the right resources. They are also an empathetic ear with some shared experiences so they might be really helpful to folks during this time.  
  • National Education Association of Disabled Students (NEADS)
    • Virtual Coffee Fridays at 3PM EST until June 5 2020 to assess interest! Come ask questions relating to accessibility supports, discuss mental health, and meet new people (for now, all from the comfort of your own home)! The Coffee Fridays will be via Zoom-details here:
